AAUW Hillsboro/Forest Grove

AAUW is a national organization committed to advancing gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy. In our local community, we provide Let’s Read Math, a math enrichment program for elementary students, and GET (Girls Engage Technology) to introduce elementary girls to coding.

We sponsor the program Teens Today for middle school girls and boys, coordinating with the Pacific University Center for Gender Equity (CGE) to introduce students to college opportunities.

We fund student awards for non-traditional local women university students. We sponsor local women university students to an annual national leadership conference in Washington DC.

We provide speakers and presentations to educate ourselves and the community. We come together for brunches and dinners, a book club, cultural events and friendship.

Membership is open to persons with at least an AA degree or equivalent.
