Frances Street Park

This 9-acre neighborhood park provides recreation opportunities for Hillsboro residents. The paved path loops around the vast, rolling lawn and connects to a beautiful nature overlook. A big picnic area is great for large gatherings. The playground, basketball court and central lawn offer a range of options for active play. The nature overlook and boardwalk provide wildlife viewing opportunities along Reedville Creek. The park can be accessed on the north, east, and south sides off of SE Green Street, Century Boulevard and SE Frances Street. A restroom and a drinking fountain are available.

Basketball Court  The full basketball court is surrounded by grass and can be accessed from the nearby path and playground.
Benches  There are several benches throughout the park along the path.
Lawn  The very large lawn area offers a lot of open space for sports and games.
Nature Areas  The overlook and nearby boardwalk provide a glimpse at the wetlands around Reedville Creek.
Parking  On-street parking is provided on the north side of the park, along SE Green Street. Off-street, accessible parking is provided on the south side of the park, off of SE Frances Street.
Paths  All paths are paved. The six-foot wide paved path loops around the playground and central lawn on the north side of the park, and connects to the nature overlook and parking lot on the south end of the park. 
Picnic Tables  There is a large picnic area with six picnic tables in the center of the park, on a crushed rock surface.
Playground  The playground has an accessible play “ship”. The surface of the playground is rubber can be accessed from the surrounding paved path.
Restrooms  A temporary restroom facility is available on the north side of the park. A drinking fountain is available in the center of the park.
