Walnut Street Park

This 2.5 acre neighborhood park provides recreation opportunities for the surrounding neighborhood. There is a reservable picnic shelter with four ADA picnic tables. The playground, seasonal spray ground, basketball court and central lawn offer a range of options for active play. The park can be accessed on the south side along SE Walnut Street and on the east side from SE 18th Avenue. There is a drinking fountain, and restrooms.
The full basketball court is surrounded by grass and can be accessed from the nearby path.
There are many benches throughout the park, along the path and around the playground.
The lawn area offers a fairly large open space for sports and games.
On-street parking is available on the south and east sides of the park, on SE Walnut Street and on SE 18th Avenue.
All paths are paved. The four-foot wide concrete path loops around the playground and lawn.
There are four ADA picnic tables located in the shelter. There are also two nonreservable picnic tables between the shelter and splash pad.
The shelter has four ADA picnic tables, power outlet, one double BBQ, and two piñata poles are located near the shelter. The shelter is located between the playground and splash pad.
The playground has a small accessible play structure and two swing sets. The surface of the playground has wood chips and is level with the adjacent pathway.
This splash pad/sprayground features brightly colored above ground elements that spray and mist and are user activated. The sprayground is located between the shelter and the east side of the park. There are two benches in the shaded area on the edge of the splash pad. The water is potable and is recycled into the park's rain garden.
